The 2007 Maybach 62 S joins the Maybach lineup as the flagship of the exclusive luxury brand and the second version to receive the “Special” designation. The Maybach 62 S is intended to be primarily chauffeur-driven and the focus is on luxury and comfort with the use of piano lacquer, carbon fiber and a new design for the high-end leather upholstery. The exterior is distinguished from the Maybach 62 by a modified front end with new grille design, 20-inch spoke wheels, modified light design and a new rear apron with integrated trapedoizal exhaust tips. The twin-turbocharged hand-built AMG V12 develops an additional 62 horsepower for a total output of 612 horsepower and 738 lb-ft of torque.
